Indeed a nice post. I love to visit Turkey and Dalaman especially as it’s a major tourist hotspot. The best way to tour the city is to hire a car and explore this beautiful city. Thanks for writing such a good post, I just subscribed the same and hope you will be posting more stuff like this over the coming days. Thanks

Warsaw to Budapest night train (or reverse). I tried for months before going to find out if this was a good idea. The info I found on the rail sites looked good. They imply a first class six-berth compartment you can get for just two people if you are willing to buy the whole thing.

We tried to do that only got half, three berths, one side, and there was no private restroom. In fact there were no bathing facilites. There was no restaurant car. All we got was a pre-packaged chocolate croissant and coffee for breakfast. There were restrooms at each end but they ran out of toilet paper several times a night because they would only put in one skinny roll at a time. The flush didn't always work, nor did the sinks.

The compartment was already made up for two when we boarded late at night, which was fine, but it was never made up the next day so we could sit comfortably. Each berth had one, tiny, thin pillow, although we were able to add the seat cushions which were not in use for the sleeping configuration.

Sometimes the train went so fast around curves we were levitated out of our berths. Other times it stopped so abruptly we were almost flung out. Lots of adventure and discomfort, no sleep. And when we arrived at Keleti Station in Budapest, there wasn't a porter or even a cart the entire length of the platform, which I honestly believe was a quarter mile long from the last car, where we were, to the doors leading outside.

You can fly in either direction in aboiut 20 minutes. Don't take this train. Since it's a night train, you won't miss seeing anything, I promise.

Wes! I found some questionable statements in your review since:

- they are currently renovating a huge part of the 5th district (center of Budapest) / and some parts are already done

-the Danube River is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites

- I do not think trash and dog poo litter the streets. Sure it is not the cleanest city (it is not as clean as Prague) but compared to for example with Naples or L.A. it is extremely clean. I wonder where you saw trash all around.

-Air-quality in Hungary is terrible at winter (due to the fact that Hungary is lying in the Carpathian Basin). However at spring and summer air-quality is pretty good. In addition comparing it with Los Angeles or Beijing, air quality is extremely good. (It's all about with what city/cities you are comparing with).

-Entry fee to Lukacs Gyogyfurdo is not $2 but depending on for how long you stay, it is between $7-9.5.

The review is correct in that there is something for everybody, you can be dressed up for dinner in a suit today, playing on the US 2 beach tomorrow or taking a boat tour of the pictured rocks the next day. There is something for everyone to see and do.

Hi Wes,
Where did you get these prices from? I looked at Zara Online and it is DOUBLE what you say on this page. I would climb with Zara if they are the prices you say here, but I cannot find it anywhere.
