Disneyland
I am a fan of Disneyland (I’m 28 on the outside, 13 on the inside) but don’t be fooled – Disneyland is not just for kids. If you have never been to the park, definitely check it out: it is unlike anything you will ever experience on this scale. It really is the happiest place on [...] -
Fall is the season to see Italy
The Italian harvest takes place in the Fall. Everything I heard while I was there suggested that this was THE BEST time of year to see Italy. I just got back from three months in Tuscany (Jan to May) and I recommend staying the hell away from Florence for any length of time. -
Cape May Vacation at Sunset Beach
A Cape May Vacation will provide sunsets at sunset beach. A great place to visit anytime. Nice beach to layout on and go swimming too. Be sure to catch the sunset ceremony. Cape May Beach which is north of Sunset Beach was ranked to be the 5th nicest beach in New Jersey [...] -
Alaska – Inside Passage Cruise
Skagway is a massive tourist trap, but it is the end of the line and like the elevator to the top of the Empire State Building, you need to see it once. Ecuador
I just traveled to Ecuador. Cuenca is a beautiful city, by far the best in Ecuador. I was going to just stop for the night and move on the next day, but I liked it so much that I stayed an extra day. Colonial city, good accommodations regardless of your budget, and not too far [...] -
The Atlantis Resort, Bahamas
Just returned from the Bahamas. 13-hour trip one-way from SFO to Nassau. The Atlantis is very similar to a big Las Vegas Hotel but on the beach in the Bahamas -
Vientien, Laos
Here’s my report for my two-day vacation in Laos. Vientien is the Capital City along the Mekong River. From Bangkok, I took Lao Airways, 6900 Baht (about $172) Round Trip. Taxi from the airport to the hotel is about $5-$6. There are many hotels and guest houses anywhere from the $15 to $35 range. -
Guatemala
Just got back from a trip to Guatemala. Here are a couple tips… Tikal ruins are incredible, but stay over night in Tikal so you’re able to visit the park in the late afternoon and first thing the next morning (6am is best for monkey viewing). Otherwise, if you take a tour from Flores, visiting [...] -
Want to be close to Pyramids?
I visited Egypt last year and stayed at the Oberoi Mena House which is literally just down the hill from the 3 Pyramids. It’s the only Hotel that’s that even remotely close. It’ll cost you a lot of money, but you can open your curtains and see the Pyramids in full view, watch the “camel [...]
