Miami is a city with a population of 400 000 inhabitants, in the USA state of Florida, in the southeast side of the United States.
Situated near the ocean, the city has a tropical climate, with humid summers and dry winters. The city developed continuously because of the tourist opportunities offered, being one of the most important touristic and financial centers of this region.

The worldwide recognized Miami Beach resort has a population of 90 000 citizens, being situated on the Florida Shores. The city was called Miami after the Miami River, which is also called “the big water” by the locals.
The most important source of income is tourism, Miami having over 10 million visitors each year. However, it is also a cultural city, with educational centers such as the Miami University, Florida International University and St. Thomas University.
The Miami teams are known all over America and in the World. The soccer team Dolphins reaches the playoffs every year, the basketball team Miami Heat is one of the most important teams in NBA, and the Florida Panthers created a huge surprise by winning the NHL several years ago.
The most important tourist destinations are the Miami beaches, the Key Biscayne and Crandon Park. You should also visit the MetroZoo and the Tropical Park.

Florida is one of the worldwide recognized tourist destinations in the world for young couples for the honeymoon, the third city in the top of USA tourist destinations, after New York and Los Angeles, and also a cosmopolitan metropolis, exotic and cultural, where the Spanish language is almost as popular as English. The great beaches, the incredible blue sky, the ocean and the palm trees are the main characteristics of the landscape. As for the nightlife, you won’t find another place with so many clubs and restaurants where the famous DJs of the world are playing every night.
