Vacation in Cancun
Our trip to Cancun was just perfect and we had the most wonderful vacation ever. The weather turned out to be wonderful; we were lucky enough not to have any rain or tropical thunderstorm during our trip.
We went snorkeling at a place called Yul-Ku Lagoon which is along the south of Cancun. There were not too many people there and prices were cheap: 60 pesos per person and children under 6 were free. Highly recommended!
On the way back home we stopped at a beach called Xpu-Ha and had some food at Cafe del Mar which was a great place. It’s directly located next to the Coco Cabana Hotel and Resort. Xpu-Ha was the best beach we found for a lazy afternoon with calm waters and some coral right there to snorkel if you want. They even offer yoga classes every morning there.
We also recommend Grey Line tours for the day trips – they picked us up in front of Brisas and dropped us off there after the tour; plus their prices were reasonable. We also made a number of day-trips to the world famous Mayan sites – like Tulum and Chichén Itzá Ruins, which gave us an insight in the early life style in this part of Mexico.
During our stay, we generously enjoyed the delicious Mexican food in a bunch of restaurants, like Blue Bayou. Also we had the opportunity to try some local taste in our condos kitchenette and we prepared some delicious seafood meals from the fresh ingredients we bought from the local markets.
