What to do in Portland

Stay at the Marriott Residence Inn DT Lloyd Center (the River Front is nice as well, however it costs a lot more). Over by the Lloyd Center are many pubs thats worth going.
If you like the snow, drive up to Mt. Hood. There are many places along the way… take I84 up the Columbia Gorge… you’ll have no regrets!
For entertainment and food… On the weekend Saturday Market; many happy hour bars that feed you for under $5.00. Be sure and visit The Portland City Grill.. the BAR for happy hour. Good prices and great view.
There’s an awesome Thai Restaurant across the street from Kells on 2nd Avenue and Kells is great Irish Stew and music.
The added benefit of being at the Lloyd Center area is free MAX to all downtown sites and easy bus rides as well. Be sure and take the Sky Tram Ride (not sure what it’s called) nice views.
The Rose Garden and Zoo area is also a fun spot and it’s just up the hill from Downtown..
Many bars.. gay and straight. A good mix of both can be found in old town, especially around CC Slaughters.
There are lots of fun spots also around Powell’s Bookstore and Pioneer Square in front of Nordy’s.
It’s the best city in all the USA. Hope you have fun!!
